There is a convenience store located just down the street and easy access to the Baw Beese hiking and biking trail. During the winter months, enjoy the warmth of the two gas fireplaces.

Beautiful Spot
We enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and the lake beautiful. The kayaks were a big hit; a pair of swans and their cygnets swam right by us! Homeowner (Rand) was very pleasant. Recommended.
Commencement Weekend 2023
We couldn't have been more pleased with our stay here. The morning lake views were stunning but unfortunately we were so busy we missed the sunset over the lake each evening we stayed! The house was perfectly sized for what we needed. All three bedrooms were used and one person stayed in the basement. Linens/towels were included. The house was clean and ready for us. Some of our extended family stayed with us and we hosted a small party after the ceremony and a few of our son's friends joined us. There was plenty of space. The kitchen was big enough and we had seats for everyone. The owner gave us his cell just in case but we didn't need to bother him. The refrigerator was emptied so we had place to store the food we brought with us. The driveway is oversized so we had plenty of space.
VACATION!
We spent almost a week in this wonderful home for our son's graduation from Hillsdale. TOTAL GEM. Excellent host, the setting is fantastic. Lake sunsets really enhanced the evenings. Quiet, safe, family neighborhood. Corner store very convenient. Absolutely recommend! But book early cause this is a winner!
Junior Olympics
Loved the location close to the college, beautiful deck, fire pit, lake front. Utilized the kayaks, fishing and took advantage of the gorgeous sunsets each night. The citronella candles and a fire kept the bugs at Bay for an outdoor dinner. Bird watching was spectacular, swans with babies, Sand Hill Cranes (we think)
Graduation
Lovely home! Very comfortable. Great proximity to college to attend activities. An amazing deck with gorgeous sunsets. Will definitely stay again.
Perfect for what we needed
Spacious, comfortable house right on Baw Beese Lake. Beautiful views, and we took advantage of the kayaks one day when the weather was good. Host very organized, friendly, accommodating and helpful. 5 mins from downtown Hillsdale, and easy 7-10 min drive to Hillsdale College campus. We were there for a long 4 day weekend visiting the College. Warm and comfortable, there's a small market down the street, and we stocked up at the Krogers supermarket 5 mins away for all the home cooking. Nice kitchen and eating area, very comfortable bedrooms, and the basement room with large screen TV was great for Netflix and weekend football games. Would definitely stay here again.
Terrific views
We really enjoyed our stay and I would definitely recommend it. Terrific views as it is right on the lake and there was so much wildlife to observe. We were at the house a lot during the week so it was nice to stay someplace so scenic. We spent most mornings and evenings on the deck or patio taking in the view. It's an older home but kept up well, very clean, beautiful wood floors and lots of open space. There is a little convenience store at the end of the street which was nice for little things here and there or for an impromptu ice cream treat at the end of the day. The kids loved sitting on the dock and going out in the kayaks with my husband.The house has a generous front yard which was also great for kids play. The host was friendly and attentive. Only a quick 10 minute drive to Hillsdale's campus.
Hillsdale Rental
I am remiss in just now entering a review of this fabulous property. My friends and I rented this property for our college Homecoming weekend and were certainly not disappointed. The premises were located on a beautiful lake and one could not ask for a better setting. The home was beautifully maintained and featured every amenity one could want. I would highly recommend it to someone looking for an amazing place to stay in the future!
Perfect Place to Re-group
This house was a perfect place for our family to re-group during the festivities of graduation. We traveled from California with extended family and having a place where we could all gather between activities was perfect. We have teen/young adult sons who traveled with us. The kayaks were a fun activity for them. We were fascinated by all the different birds--including a swan and Canadian Geese. Being on the lake was very calming. It was an easy drive to the school. The house was clean and the host responsive and accommodating. I recommend.
